Joedan Home Improvements Welcomed Into Conservatory Outlet Dealership

Thursday, April 5th, 2012

Conservatory Outlet’s network of UK-based installers has just gotten bigger after South-West firm Joedan Home Improvements became the latest dealer to join forces with the expert fabricator.

Based in the heart of the Cotswolds, Joedan Home Improvements have been involved with the industry for over 25 years, developing a strong reputation within Gloucester and Swindon for delivering a fantastic selection of conservatories and aluminium windows and doors.

The conservatory specialists also own two separate showrooms in Cotswolds and Kings Worthy which they use to display their full product range to customers in the region, six days a week.

As a brand new network dealer Joedan Home Improvements will benefit from substantial advertising and marketing support and a new lead generation website from where they can take better advantage of the increasing number of people shopping for double glazing online.

Part of Joedan’s reasoning for joining up with the network is to help increase sales of UPVC after a similar move paid off for fellow network dealer Hazlemere Window Group.

John Purcaro, Group Chairman of Joedan Home Improvements says:

“I saw the positive effect that Conservatory Outlet had on a similar company’s retail business and I was sold.”

As well as supplying, fitting and installing some of the best home improvements in the business, the team at Joedan also believe in delivering high-quality customer service.

When taking on a project they will do their best to ensure that every requirement is met, providing bespoke solutions to suit the tastes of every customer. They also offer free quotes on all products and a free home design service.

Glazing Companies Show Support For FIT Show

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012

The organisers of The FIT Show, the new business event for the window, door and conservatory industry taking place in April next year, say that more than 50% of the floor space has already been sold just weeks after it was officially launched.

A mix of large and small companies has clamoured to book exhibition space at the event, which is the first to clearly target fabricators and installers working in the home improvement glazing sector. An exhibition of more than 150 companies in addition to a programme of seminars, discussions, competitions and networking has had immediate appeal to firms looking for an effective way of reaching potential new customers face-to-face. When it takes place on 16th to 18th April 2013 it will be the first national event for the glass and double glazing sector for more than 3 years.

Matthew Glover, managing director of The FIT Show and whose commercial interests include the manufacture of windows, doors and conservatories, says he is delighted with the response: “We launched The FIT Show because we listened to so many people saying that the industry needed its own show, that a sector worth more than £3.7 billion should have its own showcase. This is a market in which business is done face-to-face and the response we have had confirms the need for our own industry event.”

Whilst there is a clear desire for a new business event, the decision process has been made easier by the inclusive stands being affordable with transparent pricing. “Our research showed that a key requirement was for value for money and clear pricing,” explained Matthew. “This is common sense really. In addition however the venue, the Telford International Centre, offers one of the finest exhibition and meeting centres in the UK and the free parking and easy access is also very attractive.”

The burgeoning exhibitor list now includes such diverse brands as Conservatory Outlet; Custom Glass; CWG Choices; Door-Stop International; Edgetech; Elumatec; FUX/White Extrusion Machinery; Insight Data; Liniar Windows/HL Plastics; Lister Trade Frames; Mila Hardware; Pilkington; Prefix Systems; Promac Group; Quickslide; Solidor; Synseal; Universal Arches; Windowlink; Zoom Conservatory Systems; Tuffx Processed Glass; Anglo European; Totali Timber Solutions; Eclectic Systems; Deceuninck; and Bison Trade Frames; Business Micros, Distinction Doors; Fab n Fix; Glass People; UAP; and Window Industry Consumables; Glazerite; Dempsey Dyer; and Group Homesafe. A substantial list of ‘pre contract’ exhibitors swells the list still further.

Further information about exhibiting at The FIT Show, including an up to date floorplan, can be found on the web site at www.fitshow.co.uk; or see the sales brochure online at http://www.motionlab.co.uk/fitshow.

Brand New Dealer Joins Conservatory Outlet Network

Sunday, April 1st, 2012

A new chapter begins for Hampshire home improvement company Wessex Window Systems after the firm became the latest Southern-based addition to Conservatory Outlet’s network of dealers.

Wessex Window Systems are the sister-company of fellow new recruits Joedan Home Improvements and have an equally enviable reputation in the Southampton area which will be further enhanced by the company’s new-found association with Conservatory Outlet.

The orangery and double glazing experts operate out of two high-quality showrooms in Tewkesbury and Winchester and serve both the domestic and commercial sectors. Their product range currently consists of conservatories, orangeries, windows, doors and porches and they serve towns such as Romsey, East Leigh and Totton.

Conservatory Outlet travel the breadth and depth of the country to source the UK’s finest installers and get them on board their burgeoning network. Wessex Window Systems long-held experience and undeniable ability to craft, supply and fit some of the South of England’s finest home improvements immediately caught the eye of bosses at the company.

As a consequence of joining the network, Wessex Window Systems have had their existing website redesigned by web experts Motionlab who have been in charge of providing online solutions for the network’s roll-call of dealers for a number of years.

The brand new website http://www.wessex-windows.co.uk provides Wessex with the perfect online platform from which to showcase their full suite of products. It will also help them entice customers into paying a visit to their showrooms.

The addition of Wessex Window Systems to the network brings Conservatory Outlet ever nearer to their long-term goal of achieving nationwide coverage. They are however still looking for dealers who meet the standards required in the North East, Central Midlands, South East and Scotland.

Dealers interested in becoming the next member of the Conservatory Outlet network should call 0808 149 9674.

A Conservatory Is A Valuable Addition To Every Home

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012

There comes a point for every homeowner where they begin to fall out of love with their property as it loses its appeal and overall beauty. Everything else about where you live may be perfect. Your kids may be settled in their school, commuting to work is a breeze and you are located close or nearby all your friends and family.

But if when you get home at the end of a hard day of work you take no pride in the appearance of it then you know that the time has arrived when you need to give your property a bit of a facelift. This could involve giving it a repaint or redecorating the interior but for maximum impact why not think about installing an extension out the back so that you have more home to love.

What you have to bear in mind is that a conservatory won’t just extend the amount of space that you have at your disposal, but it will also add monetary value to property. Conservatories can on average add around 5% onto the overall value of your home. Though you may have no intention of relocating at this time it pays to think ahead as you could reap the benefits sometime in the future.

However, a conservatory needs to be chosen carefully as you need to be sure that it is in keeping with the existing appearance of your home. The last thing you want is to install a conservatory and see it viewed as being something of a ‘white elephant’.

This can only be judged by visiting your local showroom and familiarising yourself with the various forms of conservatory available. Any good installer should have a showroom filled with each form of conservatory that they offer so that you can walk in amongst them and get a real feel for them. Until you come face-to-face with a fully furnished and constructed conservatory with double glazing you will be unable to fully appreciate what it has to offer.

It also gives you the opportunity to speak with an installer’s team of design consultants as they will be well aware of which type of conservatories best suit which type of homes.

Although planning permission regulations have been relaxed in many parts of the country you must bear in mind that you may require approval from your local authority before going ahead with the installation.

So love your home and it will love you back!

Energy-Saving In The Home Can We Done With Ease

Monday, March 19th, 2012

As more households are finding, a huge energy bill can really make a dent into the monthly budget. With so many electrical appliances within the house, it can sometimes seem impossible to keep your bills down so here are a few energy saving tips that should help:

  • If you have a small family or live by yourself, always wait until you have a full load of washing before starting your washing machine or dishwasher. Same goes for your tumble dryer, always use an outdoor line where possible or alternatively buy a few drying racks. This will encourage you to use your appliances less, helping you to reduce your CO2 emissions and cut your electricity bills.
  • Double glazing and replacement windows can help to lower your energy bills by reducing the amount of heat that is lost from your home. If during the winter your property feels draughty and cold you could be spending hundreds of pounds trying to keep it warm and cosy. It makes sense in the long run to upgrade to energy efficient windows.
  • TVs, computers, lights, fridges and freezers all contribute to the amount of electricity that your household uses. Have a quick walk around you home and check how many appliances are left on standby– you may be surprised.  Always try and make sure that electrical appliances are switched off when they are not in use.
  • Conservatories have become hugely popular within the UK but even they can have their own energy problems. Make sure that you use energy efficient glass in the construction and consider installing conservatory blinds as they can help to absorb heat from your home and stop it form escaping.

Conservatory Outlet specialise in supplying  and installing energy efficient double glazing and conservatories throughout the UK so give them a call if you are looking to make a few energy saving home improvements.

Conservatory Outlet Associate Celebrates Landmark Door Figure

Tuesday, March 13th, 2012

The 35,000th prepped slab for composite doors has rolled off the production line at Door-Stop’s factory in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. Since launching in 2008, Door-Stop has also supplied nearly 200,000 door-sets.

One of Door-Stop’s most high-profile customers and supporters is Conservatory Outlet, one of the UK’s leading home improvement companies and suppliers of conservatories and double glazing nationwide.

Matthew Glover, MD of Conservatory Outlet took time out to congratulate Door-Stop and their MD Nick Dutton on their fantastic achievement by paying a visit to their premises, and says:

“We expect to see further growth in composite doors driven by the new Door Energy Ratings scheme (DERs), their long life, attractive appearance, and the Green Deal which recognises the cost effectiveness of insulated front doors in lowering carbon.”

Door-Stop has its own in-house slab manufacturing facility, so supply of finished product isn’t solely dependent on the availability of imported slabs. Nick Dutton comments: “Recent industry slab shortages have been attributed to all sorts of reasons; even ships lost at sea. Because we make so much of what we sell, Door-Stop customers are unaffected by these sorts of shortages. We are ideally positioned to take up any slack in the industry.”

The market for composite doors is one of the fastest growing sectors in an otherwise shrinking UK window, conservatory and door industry. According to the latest Palmer report, composite doors increased by 30% in 2010 while PVC-U fell 22%. This growth is predicted to continue.

Nick Dutton goes on to say: “We see great growth in the prepped slab market – especially when Door-Stop fabricators can have the benefit of being able to buy a door set in 3 days as well as manufacturing their own from prepped slabs.

Conservatory Outlet Utilise Google+ For Further Social Media Presence

Saturday, March 10th, 2012

The UK’s no.1 home improvement company Conservatory Outlet has become one of the first businesses associated with the double glazing and conservatory industry to create their own Google+ page.

Although the conservatory specialists already have both a Facebook page and Twitter account where they have acquired hundreds of ‘likes’ and ‘followers’, they believe that an existence on Google+ will give them further opportunity to interact and connect with new and existing customers.

Being on Google+ will also make the firm more searchable as Google indexes all business pages on their hugely popular search engine. This will help Conservatory Outlet reaffirm their top ranking position for relevant keywords such as ‘conservatories’.

Unique features on Google+ such as ‘Hangouts’ gave Conservatory Outlet extra incentive to join the world’s newest social networking site as it will enable them to have one-to-one video conservations with customers where they can gain feedback and get to know their clientele better.

As they do with their Facebook and Twitter accounts, Conservatory Outlet intend on updating their Google+ page regularly with company news, industry news relating to double glazing, triple glazing and conservatories, including blog posts and images.

They will promote their brand new page by adding a Google+ badge to their website and publicising it via Facebook and Twitter. You can visit Conservatory Outlet’s Google+ page at: https://plus.google.com/114695216523573419467/posts.

Conservatory Outlet Show Support For Brand New Trade Show

Tuesday, March 6th, 2012

Conservatory Outlet was one of the first companies to sign up as an exhibitor at the Fabricator Installer Trade (FIT) Show; the all new industry exhibition which was recently unveiled and which will take place during 16th-18th April 2013.

The Wakefield-based double glazing fabricator is keen to attract new installers from various regions of the UK to its network of customers and sees FIT Show as the perfect way to demonstrate its offering to potential Conservatory Outlet dealers.

In addition to its uPVC double glazing product range, which includes Energy Saving Trust Recommended windows, Secured by Design windows and doors, and luxury conservatories and orangeries, Conservatory Outlet will also promote the benefits of being part of its network of dealers. Members not only receive free sales leads, search optimised lead generating websites and bespoke marketing literature, but also the experience, advice and trade secrets of many other successful installers thanks to regular benchmarking exercises and network events.

Conservatory Outlet’s support of this new exhibition is unsurprising – managing director Matthew Glover is also the principle organiser of FIT Show and MD of FIT Events Ltd. – but as sales director Greg Kane explains, FIT Show will be an unmissable date in the 2013 calendar.

‘I’ve seen at first hand Matthew’s passion for delivering an exhibition that the industry can be proud of and that will get businesses talking, thinking and ultimately buying from one another. The marketing plan to attract trade visitors is genuinely exceptional and I don’t want Conservatory Outlet to miss out by not being there.’

Conservatory Outlet has recently welcomed new installers to its network from Aberdeen, Middlesex Gloucestershire and Hampshire, whereas key regions such as the North East, the Central Midlands and East Anglia do not currently have a local dealer.

‘FIT Show could play a crucial part in our efforts to achieve full UK coverage and ensure that every person in the country has a Conservatory Outlet Dealer in easy reach’ added Greg.

Conservatory Outlet Unveil Involvement In Upcoming FIT Show

Sunday, March 4th, 2012

Matthew Glover, Managing Director of Conservatory Outlet has announced plans to stage a brand new national window, door and conservatory trade show aimed at fabricators and installers involved in the glass and double glazing industry.

Due to be held between 16-18th April 2013, the Telford International Centre will be transformed into the home of double glazing, doors and conservatories for the FIT (Fabricator and Installer Trade) Show, the first event of its kind for five years.

In accordance with its slogan of ‘everyone’s going’, the FIT Show has already attracted the attention of 30 companies including EdgeTech, Lister Trade Frames and Synseal, with half a million pounds-worth of exhibition space booked before the official launch.

Extensive research was carried out prior to the introduction of the event to ensure that the needs of both exhibitors and visitors were catered for. Located in the very heart of England, entrance to the FIT Show will be free and a range of affordable exhibition stand packages are available.

The inaugural FIT Show will also encompass a comprehensive seminar programme, innovative features, planned evening entertainment and networking opportunities as the organisers look to set up an event relevant to the industry in the 21st century.

Armed with a £500k marketing budget, the FIT Show will be heavily promoted in trade-related publications and across social media platforms over the next 14 months in the lead-up to the event so that the exhibition gets optimum exposure and reaches as many key industry figures as possible.

Mr Glover has created and organised the event together with colleague and business partner Paul Godwin who runs a business-to-business public relations agency based in Hertfordshire. They each share a long-held passion for the conservatory industry.

Conservatory Outlet Increase Production Of Triple Glazing

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

Conservatory Outlet the fabricator and installer of home improvements have announced that triple glazing now accounts for 15% of the 10,000 frames they produce each month due to popular demand from its network of dealers and householders.

The addition of triple glazing to their already vast product range in July of last year has been fantastically received by dealers and homeowners up and down the land. It has also led to the company launching a site solely dedicated to this newest form of home improvement christened ‘Triple Glazing Superheroes’.

Conservatory Outlet is made up of 19 regional dealers throughout the UK all of which already supply, fit and install conservatories, orangeries, double glazing, porches and roofline, amongst many other products.

Greg Kane, Sales Director of Conservatory Outlet says:

“This positive feedback has come from all corners of the UK and judging by the requests for product samples and literature alone, our dealers really do believe in the potential of triple glazing. I fully expect that this percentage will increase over time.”

Although the sale of triple glazing within the network is in its infancy, Mr Kane is confident that it will become the window of choice over the coming years:

“Despite our early efforts in the triple glazing market, double glazed energy rated windows and frames for conservatories obviously still make up the bulk of our work as a fabricator, and this is likely to be the case for some time.

But as Building Regulations set higher standards, more UK installers begin to offer a triple glazed option, and more and more homeowners have a neighbour or friend who has had triple glazing installed, demand for these products will increase and that is when our work now will really be rewarded.”
